My opinion is that the hard work under the hood has been done (I know Jürgen did a lot to improve consistency and features for beamer). I think we just need to smooth out the user experience a bit. In any case, I don't see this happening until after LyX 2.4.0 but I'm confident we can improve things in the long run. Scott
