Hello,

I think it does not make sense to consider GNU Checker as it requires to
recompile everything, including all libraries, e.g. xforms.

It seems like I am the only one, who is - in theory - able to run LyX with
Purify. Indeed, I really would like to do that but LyX 1.2cvs does not compile
with SUN CC 6.0. In fact, the situation has become even worse since the last
time I complained about compilation problems.

If you are interested in Purify assistance and you are willing to have a look
at the compilation errors, I might send you file with compiler outputs. Since
the errors are sometimes hard to comprehend (at least for me as I am not
directly involved in LyX development), it might be a good idea to try to
compile LyX with gcc-3.0-cvs first. I was told that this compiler is more
complying to the C++ standard, so you might find out that some code is not
accepted any longer.

Regards, Michael
