While working on the DocBook support, there was the idea to have an

As this part of the code has matured a lot since this discussion, I
suppose it is now time to make such a release, if Jean-Marc has time to
do it.
Unfortunately the alpha has not happened yet, and I do not see it
happening next week either.
If someone can volunteer to do it, be my guest :) I will do my best in
November.
Sorry for the delays, these times are a bit difficult to deal with.
