I am seeing this too on Windows.
Just in case anyone had problems reproducing: the bug is only with the
very first lines in a document, i.e. if there is other text before the
multi-line paragraph, then it works as expected. Maybe that is why it
wasn't noticed until now. 2.3.5 seems fine though.
