It's not like I understand this either, but it looks to me completely parallel to Example 2 here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/cpp/examples-of-lambda-expressions?view=vs-2019 It looks to me like this is not used a whole lot, but one place it is used (indirectly) is in LFUN_REFERENCE_NEXT.
