This only activates tabular _figures_, not a monospace family.

Many fonts have tabular figures (in addition to proportional figures).
This does not make the font monospaced (everything else but the figures
is still proportional).

Something like \renewcommand\ttdefault{myfontfam}

this is done by the SwitchDefault option.
