Yes, there were two instances of a Latin letter t in a cyrillic document adjacent to Ukrainian words. They are just out of place (most probably spurious input during some documentation update). The "run-together words in Greek and Cyrillic" bug (which is the reason for wrong output with XeTeX+TeX-fonts and Greek with "language default" inputenc) led to compilation errors in this case (non existent command \cyrat). After removing the spurious Latin letters, the document compiles also with XeTeX (under TeXLive17). The run-together words are fixed in a yet unpublished patch. Thanks, Günter
