What most projects do is to rewrite (sometimes silently) the tarballs. :-) This has happened to me several times, and usually the rpm spec file has a changelog entry like "Respun tarball". A suggestion that can be made in this case is to have rc'c for lyx 2.3.x such that as soon as you are happy with outcome you switch the last rc to the official release. That way we ensure the same development cycle for development and release versions. Just an idea, -- José Abílio
