I have the cache enabled but it seems that I am using qt to do the conversion/drawing and not the default converter. In any case the problem seems to be the same. If we pass an empty string as the file name to convertDefault.py it will not count as an argument and thus the error. Could you run lyx using the option -dbg graphics It is quite chatty so I advise you to try it first in the tutorial (if you have the same problem there). -- José Abílio
