I agree. I will remove the Windows binaries from the FTP, and announce 2.3.0 on Friday. I still have the hope that we can upload the Windows binaries soon. I will continue the lyx-users thread. Maybe if we come up with a dialog that users on lyx-users agree would not be confusing, Uwe will be interested in including the dialog. Scott
