For that one, I can indeed see that the dot is not a dot at low zoom
levels as well. For \ddots, it actually looks blurry to me at some zoom
levels, which really bothers my eyes (see attachment). But for \ddots I
do not realize they are really lines until I zoom in. Similar for e.g.
\cdots.
