Dear all, I'm planning to announce a freeze of 2.3.x branch around Sunday, in order to go forward with LyX 2.3.0rc2. We still have issues that we need to resolve (more on this below) before the final 2.3.0, but there have been a lot of fixes since rc1, and we are also planning to release the Mac and Win binaries for rc2 with the newly released Qt 5.9.4, so it will be great to get it out there and get some more testing while we focus on blockers for the final 2.3.0.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you disagree (e.g., if you believe that any 2.3.0 blocker should be a rc2 blocker). I would appreciate help with the discussion at https://www.lyx.org/trac/ticket/10978 I actually have not looked at it in detail yet. I will do so sometime after rc2 is out. It would be nice to see some specific proposals for what to do for 2.3.0 (e.g., "revert", "wontfix", etc).
