Thank you Jürgen,
that solves the immediate (and most important) problem, the latex
export. :-)
There is another minor problem that is the visual feedback. The part with no
color selection still
appears as using the default foreground color that in this particular case is
different from the
text color of the paragraph.
If the "no color" option reverted the characters color to the paragraph default
text color this
would solve the problem above as well.
In any case this is a minor issue, and one that has been present forever.
