OK, I rethought this. I fear special cases in lyx2lyx or tex2lyx where I
might have missed a thing. Then they might not work correctly just
because if this. I played a bit around and it looks safe but one never
knows and so short before a release it seems too risky. As it is not
that pressing I would postpone it.
I committed the full patch to master and only the https support for
tex2lyx to the 2.3.x branch.
