I've tagged and tarred locally, and sent the tars to our packagers. If there is no issue while building from the tar, and if no rc1-blocker is proposed on the list, I will proceed with the release accordingly and push the tag after I receive binaries back. Please do not commit anything to the 2.3.x branch. Thanks for all of your help, Scott
