First question: Can you compile a very simple LyX file? I.e., start a new file, type "Hello World", and try to view the PDF. Does it work? If not, then there is some major problem in your installation, and I'd recommend removing everything related to LyX and re-installing. If that isn't the problem, we can try more things. But the LaTeX log you attached is truncated: It is not the complete file. So it's impossible to see what the error might be. Richard
