Thanks a lot for being willing to test, Allan! If you use Mac or Windows, You can download the installer for beta1 from: ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/devel/lyx-2.3/2.3.0-latest However, I see that your email was sent from Linux. We currently do not have Linux binaries available for beta1. Are you by chance on Ubuntu? I hope that we can provide binaries for beta1 for Ubuntu soon. I'll check with our PPA manager. Our devel PPA is currently at alpha1, which does not include minted support so please don't spend time testing that. If you would be interested in compiling LyX, we would be happy to guide you on the list (most of us are Linux users). But if you are on Ubuntu, you might want to just wait for binaries to reduce the time you need to spend on it. Before testing, please back up all of your documents, and only use 2.3.0beta1 for testing and not for serious work. Once you get beta1 installed, it would be great if you could keep a short log of your first impressions. For example, "I saw this warning telling me that... and I wasn't sure what it meant". This way we can see if there is any way to improve confusion. Thanks a lot for your time. Since we implemented to a new interface for minted, it's important to see what current users of minted think and if there's any way we can improve the experience. Best, Scott
