OK, the file is gone now. A big part of the remaining space taken is 18G in tracdumps, which holds... backups of our gigantic trac log file :) I did not touch it for now, since this disk space will naturally be reclaimed as old backups get deleted.
And now I set the log_level of trac to INFO instead of DEBUG, which makes the file growth much less dramatic.
