Oh, come on!  Get real!

All we need is a simple dialog like Export->Custom used to have but such
that it uses the exporter to select formats you can feed into your
external app/script.  How hard can that be?  It'd be a lot simpler for a
newbie or for old hands who want to just do a one off run or are
experimenting with a new utility.

It doesn't have to save the command line you give it (into \custom_export
vars in lyxrc for example).  It could however be setup to save your
configuration into the formats and convertors structures.  So you'd have a
general purpose exporter which would provide a simpler interface for
setting up and testing new convertors.
