I would need to download bleeding-edge lyx to test this and it's not
clear to me that this is being maintained now -- there's a reference to
master and 2.1.x on the website, no mention of 2.2.x, which suggests it
isn't. Perhaps Daniel could test on windows? The assertion arose when
trying Insert>Special Character>Symbols>Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols.
I could not reproduce the assertion via copy and paste in 2.2.2.
However, I always get the assertion when trying to select the inserted
symbol via mouse. So I cannot even copy and paste via mouse selection.
While when selecting via keyboard works fine the pasted symbols behave
strangely. When I copy and paste two such symbols then the pasted two
symbols appear as one character for selection. So I cannot select only
one of them (again with keyboard only, mouse selection produces the
assertion).
Anyway, I tried in in 2.3dev and the problem does not appear there.
Let me know if I should test anything more.
