Well, I did it again. Now when a command is inserted in the wrong mode, it is explicitly wrapped in the right mode-changing command. I was wrong and I apologize for this. The problem is that I copy-pasted the above equation in lyx and then hit Ctrl-M, without realizing that the ensuremath inset was actually entered in this case. -- Enrico
