Yes, I am afraid if you want to continue to contribute to LyX we would like to have your full name on GPL statement. Generally we want to be on a safer side against any kind of copyright claims or trolling and accepting code from anonymous or obviously fake identities does not help with such position. If you don't wish to expose your real name on the public list, there is way around to give it privately to few senior devs around, but it's additional burden to keep track of such things so think twice please.
