Note that spreadsheets may contain invisible data (the formulas), so that
overwriting is more insidious in this case.
Good point.
The program most similar to LyX, Libre Office, does overwrite. And there
doesn't seem to be support for changing this behavior so I will not
insist more.
+ Add new cells if there is no cell selection
+ Overwrite if there is a selection of cells
+ No dialog asking for confirmation
Indeed, this is nice. But sometimes I'm not sure if people understand
the mistake they made until it is too late (e.g. they saved).
Saving does not kill undo, but I see your point.
