OK, as my spare time for LyX ends, I won't touch siggraph but do this
for AGUTeX. OK?
IMO not OK. The siggraph changes in c1e0b24304e do still lack a +1. This
has to be fixed first. If you do not want to do it, then this will be
done by somebody else, most likely by simply reverting your changes.
Why do you want to revert a fix for a real problem? I fixed it the way
we always did in the past. If it is more important for you to be
bureaucratically correct than fixing issues, be it. I am too old for this.
I volunteered to improve the situation beginning with the necessary fix
for AGUTeX but well, you are obviously not interested to get this in
soon but to do it "the right way" despite that there is no decision what
the right way should be in detail.
I do not understand the way you are acting. I am tired to discuss rules.
The users don't care about that, they care about if LyX can fulfill its
promises or not, meaning if a feature LyX is claiming works or not. I
made proposals to improve the situation but you are talking only of
reversions. Well, I fixed a problem, you can check it out - it is now
really fixed. So how it is done is not important since nothing was broken.
Since I am also not happy of how we fix such things I opened a
discussion. Unfortunately a fruitless one.
To end this, ask the others and let the majority decide.
