These are only introduced when running lyx2lyx manually. If we open and save the files, the \Special... is removed (I only did limited testing though). This suggests that using the experimental way of running development/tools/updatedocs.py might help. The experimental way (which I think is triggered by giving an argument) actually uses LyX to open the files. Scott
