Sorry but no, you did not. The cited mail does not explain how th tests are run. Of course I can open a console and execute e.g.

ctest -N

Result is this:

D:\LyXGit\Master\lib\examples>ctest -N
Test project D:/LyXGit/Master/lib/examples
Total Tests: 0

ctest -R "modernCV" leads to:

D:\LyXGit\Master\lib\examples>ctest -R "modernCV"
Test project D:/LyXGit/Master/lib/examples
No tests were found!!!

So yes, you might think I am retarded but I cannot get tests to work and nobody tells me how to do them.

If things are that easy why can't they be documented? That is why we have the Development.lyx file, no? There ctest is not mentioned.

The same is with updating the tex2lyx reference files. I asked on the list but got not reply how I can do this:
