Well, the use of justification on screen is in itself a problem to the eye, since it is really not as good as what LaTeX does. But we have it because it is an immediate hint to the author. Likewise, justified newline can create bad layout on paper, and showing it on screen is a reminder to the author to be careful with such things. I think that showing the effect of options is more useful than cryptic signs.

We already have an option for people who think that showing justification is bad. I tend to think that it is enough to fix this particular concern.

Anyway, I have not written this particular patch yet, and I do not know when I will have time to do so. We'll discuss it again then.
