It doesn't appear red to me. However, I have been told not to get into
arguments over shades of colour. If it appears red to others then this is
one of those occasions.
Attached are the screenshots for me. Is it different for you? Let me
know if you want higher res screenshots.

With effort I can distinguish the colours, but certainly not at a
glance. I think the one-pixel thickness doesn't help. The x and y (more
than a pixel wide) are blue at a glance.
