I didn't find the error when I searched for it. In fact, I was told on that
site I linked to issue a bug report, which I did. Both mine and the other
guy's version of LyX is 2.1.3. His is Windows, and mine is Ubuntu. If the
problem doesn't exist in later versions of the program, I would suggest
ignoring it. If the problem can't be immediately fixed, you could simply
give the user a warning that the path isn't set, along with a short message
telling them how to do so. I don't care about setting paths, so long as I
know I need to. I made the assumption that since the dictionary was
obviously set (as spell-checked worked fine), so was the thesarus, as they
should (logically) go hand-in-hand. It took me awhile to find that site, as
apparently it's an obscure problem.
