High cpu load for inactive lyx

        Hi,
First, Lyx is great. I love it.

Second, lyx uses a lot of resources: it takes a lot of CPU time, even when
nothing is happening, easily upto 15 % on a  PIII-800, while other task
are running as well. (Under linux that is)

Does anyone know a solution ?

I have a hunch this maybe related to reading from named pipes, but that's
only a hunch.
