I have a reproducible crash with lyx 1.1.6 (on linux, kernel 2.2.16). 
Basically, it crashes when attempting to export the User's Guide as tex (or
any process that involves this, such as viewing DVI).

ps Thanks for Lyx - with PDF output (with eps figures and nice fonts) now
automated, life in an M$ dominated environment is suddenly made far, far
