The configure script configure whatever spellcheckers it finds, and it is possible to disable them individually.I did mean that but I was mistaken (I saw the - LYX_HUNSPELL = OFF reported at the end and thought that meant I wasn't compiling with Hunspell, but now I see that it just means that I didn't explicitly ask for it to compile with Hunspell).
