logout/login worked. Amongh other odd things the last few days,
my xdm login box had reduced in size drastically (by 75% or so), and
netscape onts looked funny. I use netscape rarely enough to not
connect that.

However, is this something that needs attention in lyx? Those 100dpi
fonts *shouldn't* be used for *anything* on my system, as far as
I know . . .
