me, jmarc, and others are spending a lot of time duplicating bug emails
sent to the lists on sourceforge.

So the question is, should we direct users to use the sourceforge bug
tracker first ? If they log in, they can still participate by email in
follow ups.

It would mean a higher rate of duplicates (like spellchecking in the text
inset), but much lower effort in admin, *especially* in terms of seeing
which bug reports are still outstanding / haven't even been looked at.
