If so the tooltip should be

"Words with less than the specified number of characters will not be completed."

and the label in the dialog should be

"Minimum characters for words that should be completed"

If this formulation seems better to you, that's fine with me. It's equivalent.

OK I will commit this for LyX 2.1.1.

You can commit it now to the 2.1.1-staging branch, if you wish.

Besides this, your commit
http://www.lyx.org/trac/changeset/2aadcec1/lyxgit
changed the dialog size. That doesn't seem correct because there was nothing changed except of the tooltip. Can you please have a look?

Qt Designer does very mysterious things. I suppose we should check all this closely before releasing 2.1.0.

I propose to revert that commit.

Done.

I will add the new tooltip anyway. Qt Designer works fine fer me (Qt 4.8.5).

You can do that for 2.2-staging and 2.1.1-staging. (We need both of these, because not everything that goes into 2.2.0 will go into 2.1.1, obviously.)

Fine with me, though we should also specify in which ways it is improved. The ability to use git as a backend is really the news.

Can you or Pavel please take over. I never used version control and can therefore not advertise it.

I'd ask Pavel to do it. I have never used LyX with VC, either.

Richard
