I don't know. Currently it's not clear. The package I've build is usable on 
Benjamin's 10.9
and it's not usable on the machine of the OP of ticket 8925. That's very 
strange.

Yes, we should do a 2.1 release with 4.8.x. (4.8.4 or 4.8.5)

We have to provide more than one package for different Mac OS versions.
The package build on 10.8 doesn't run on 10.5 and I had problems with
the package build on 10.6 (works on 10.5 too) on higher OS versions.
