Note that this issue is not exclusive of miktex, in Fedora (and other linux
distributions) we can either install the latex packages via texlive or using
the packages channel (yum for Fedora).
So the problem is more generic than just windows/miktex.
Yes, but I fear we'll have to implement separate solutions.
