- open the Math manual you find in LyX 2.1beta
- press Ctrl+F (advanced Search) and search for "qwert"
- LyX reaches the end of the document without finding anything and asks
you to restart at the beginning. Press Yes
- result: about half of all toolbar icons are no longer there and also the
replace window of the advanced search dialog. I have to restart LyX to be
able to work with it again. (I can provide screenshots if necessary.)
I don't see this.
This is bug 8657:
http://www.lyx.org/trac/ticket/8657
Others see the same problem as I do also on Linux. Maybe it is a Qt problem because I am still
compiling against Qt 4.8.
- when I change something in the preferences and press apply or save, a
new Program window is temporarily opened. This is no the case in LyX 2.0
and is a bit annoying.
I guess it is the layout box. I also see the toolbars being built again.
This is annoying. Can we get rid of it. It disturbs the workflow.
4.
- when I view a PDF, a console windows is permanently opened. I use the
same "pdfview.exe" we have in git that we also use for LyX 2.0 to view
PDFs. But with LyX 2.0 no console window is shown. Has anybody an idea or
hint what has been changed that LyX now behaves differently? I need to fix
this for the release of LYX 2.1.
I tried to figure this out when I created my installer for Beta 2, but I
couldn't find the cause.
Same for me. But this is in my opinion a must fix before we can release a final
version for Windows.
thanks and regards
