I just tried beamer on lyx 2.1.0beta1 and had some difficulty. I almost gave up, trying to figure out how to end a frame and then start another.
It turns out I need to add a separator. The separator is not grouped together with the other frame elements on the menu. If it had been, I would have guessed this a lot sooner.
