Richard Heck suggested that I ask about this on the developers list.
I have a book manuscript written with the memoir class and multiple
indexes. I am happy to convert to any other class and it is easy to change
the index markings to conform with the splitindx package.
Is there any way to import the result into LyX? The standard import routine
does not handle the multiple indexes. The relevant part of the preamble is:
\usepackage{splitidx}
\makeindex
\newindex[Index]{idx}
\newindex[Table of Statutes]{tab}
\newindex[Table of Cases]{tab1}
LyX imports the standard index entries, but not the other two. The book is
700+ typeset pages and many, many special index entries, so doing much work
by hand is a non-starter.
