Dear all, Before I file a bug report, I'd like to query here first. I've noticed this strange behaviour for a long time now. I use LyX 2.0.6 within Xfce on Ubuntu Precise with Qt 4.8.1.
When I run LyX, open a document, then activate Window Manager's (xfwm4) 'Toggle fullscreen' functionality, then as expected the WM decorations disappear and I get the LyX window in fullscreen on the computer screen (notice, this is NOT LyX's own Fullscreen mode). However, as soon as I hit one keyboard key (be it 'ctrl' or 'a'), the menu bar disappears. To make it re-appear, I need to successively hit F11 twice, to toggle LyX's native Fullscreen mode which restores the menu bar. Here's a screenshot: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=07775679476859590474&gk=money http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=29426774822250629120&gk=laptop Is this a bug in LyX, Qt, or xfwm4?
