No (not without private changes, that is; of course you can still use the 2.0.x layout, but then you're on your own). > I gave a shot this new beamer stuff last week and I must admit it was > somewhat harsh experience. But once you are used to it, things should go as fast as before. You might want to read Help > Beamer Presentation, where I have given some hints on the new UI. Note that the new UI was not a target in itself. I would have loved to maintain the old UI, but this was not possible (see below), so I tried to change as less as possible UI wise. > which perhaps the > price for more powerful options we now have. This is not the main reason for the change. The main reason was that the old UI was build on top of a complex, ugly hack (\lyxframe) that _nobody_ of us understood. Hence the layout was practically unmaintainable, and it was in fact unmaintained. Also, the hack resulted in many bugs and severe restrictions (the unability to specify a "fragile" frame was just the most prominent one), so we _had_ to get rid of it, and the UI change was a necessary consequence of this move. > When I tried my old slides the are broken because I use ERT constructs > like \vspace, \hspace for slides with more graphic elements then normal > alignment would allow. Please report those cases. They need to be fixed (the lyx2lyx conversion is pretty complex too, so I really rely on testing and feedback, as stated many times before). Jürgen
