Dear Kamal, at this point in time, you should focus on the outcome of your project rather than the specific source files to change and/or implement. You need to spell out:
1. What the problem is: Why lyX needs a toolbar customization and which functions would such an editor allow (see idea page, lyx-devel discussions) 2. How you suggest to solve the problem from a user's perspective: What would a dialog look like. A mock up of your desired goal would be great 3. Describe how the user would interact with the dialog and what would be the results on Lyx's side 4. If possible, enter into some details on how you would implement the desired functionalities.
