Hi,
I'm studying Computer Science on University of Wrocław (Poland). I'd like
to take part in Google Summer of Code and I found LyX project interesting.
I have experience in writing in C++ and Python and I'm often using Qt for
my university projects so I'm familiar with this framework. I also use
LaTeX a lot.

I found 3 ideas from the ideas list especially interesting. First 2 are
about improving user experience (I think I'm capable of fulfilling both of
them during the summer):

   - Toolbar customization dialog (this would help users to speed up their
work and allow them to focus on it instead of spending lots of time
configuring stuff; they might then even use this possibility more which
would be beneficial for them as well)
   - Layout editor (allowing users not only to create layouts for unknown
document classes but also to alter existing layouts to fit their needs
   more)

The third one is implementing ePUB support. I've never had an occasion
to fiddle around with ePUB or other e-book formats but I know HTML and CSS
so it shouldn't be difficult for me to know what's going on.
I could also work on different formats support like mobi since ePUB isn't
supported by Kindle readers anyway.

I will appreciate any comments or suggestions.
