I would like to request and also sponsor a new feature for LyX.
I propose the addition to styles entitled "BeginLabelType" and "BeginLabelString" that would behave similar to "EndLabelType" and "EndLabelString" but would place the label at the beginning of the paragraph (or sequence of paragraphs if LatexType is Environment, Item_Environment or List_Environment).
