you have introduced this debug message:

However, fix_latex_file also returns 0 if there is nothing to change, i.e. if
\documentclass does not have a font option, which of course happens frequently
and is perfectly valid.
Can we get rid of this message (or refine it, if needed)? This is getting
pretty annoying.
