Dear all
I've recently encountered an issue where I couldn't place 'verbatim'
environment in a \subfloat{} command within a table float (as usual,
Sweave related). According to the `subfig' docs, 'verbatim' can be
used in this context only after some non-trivial workarounds. And in
several sources `subfig' is described as obsoleted by 'subcaption':
- CTAN: "The package 'subfigure' is now considered obsolete: it was superseded
by 'subfig', but users may find the more recent 'subcaption' package
more satisfactory."
- Wikibooks: "A useful extension is the subcaption package [3] (the
subfigure and subfig packages are deprecated and shouldn't be used any
more)"

Shouldn't LyX consider switching to 'subcaption', too?

We have other problems with subfig, too. Of course, this would hav to be for 2.1....
