We have discussed relevant issue in recent exchange about ed1515ef69 with JMarc.
I think it is the _installation_, not compilation, issue.
Indeed. Pavel, does the new approach suit you better? Shall I commit it?
The good part is that, since it does not touch the packaging process, I
can backport it to branch more easily (the bug with documentation in OS
X is quite annoying).
