It's an xforms bug, and I don't really understand it.
Enlightenment from lyx developers would be welcome.
I plan to take it up with the debian xforms maintainer, but I hadn't
got round to it yet (sorry). This message is cc:ed to him. There are
several debian bugs reported on this issue, see #69396, #71134, #77894
and #77989. You can see all those bugs at http://bugs.debian.org/lyx
Apparently the version of xforms in potato is OK. Don't know why
(psg?).
Lyx developers, any ideas? There is a comment about half-way down
69396, which may be totally irrelevant, or may not, about XOpenIM.
