Please feel free to turn the line edit to a combo if you want. As I said
it's mostly that I cannot be bothered to fix the ui until the management
of citation stuff is reworked.
Yes the plan is to use the bst file information and use it there.
Locally I have a branch in which LyX gathers even more information about
styles and their compatibility with the various citation engines. I
haven't posted a patch of this yet. It's the continuity of the patch
"move citation engine to layout modules" which I recently posted. Since
these involves rather big changes to the codebase, I will each time post
and wait a week or two before committing.
